What does Jumpstart Your Biz Include?Legal Strategy As a new business owner, you have many legal questions. When is the right time to select a business entity, and what should you choose? What should you look for before signing a contract? How to protect your business name and logo, or why is it important? Legal strategy sessions are when you can ask your most pressing questions. Additionally, during these monthly sessions, I identify existing, or potential legal issues, and develop a preventative strategy for your business. Business Entity Selecting a proper business entity is key to ensuring that your business structure aligns with your long term vision and plans for expansion. This is not a one-size-fits-all decision. As a Jumpstart your Biz client, I will work with you, to determine the best business entity. I will also prepare your Articles of Incorporation or Organization, so that you have them when you are ready to file. Contracts You may already have contracts that you are using for your business. If you are like most of my clients, those contracts are not professionally drafted by an attorney, but prepared from a combination of templates found on the web. When this was your hobby, that may have been good enough, but as a profit-generating business, it is not. I review all of your existing contracts, and modify them so that they work for you. I also provide you with two newly drafted contracts based on your business needs. Web Compliance Do you have a website or blog? Did you know that there are laws that require you to also have terms and conditions, and a privacy statement. If you already have these important documents, I review, modify and advise you on them – you need to clearly understand your responsibility to people who visit your website. If you don’t have these documents, then I draft them for you. |
